Based on Scientific Survey Techniques, Sharks, Rays and Turtles will be identified and counted over all the regions of Fiji.
The Count itself can be done during your normal Fishing, SCUBA diving or Snorkel trip with your guide.
Before you go, you will be shown ‘Great Fiji Shark Count’ identification materials (you can also look at these in advance on line at FijiSharkCount.com ). At the end of your trip, you will be asked to record your observations on a special logbook.
Results will be sent back to the Great Fiji Shark Count team, and to eShark Surveys for analysis, and reports and a distribution map of Shark Abundance and Diversity will be placed on this website.
